I am so angry and need to rant.  I got home shortly after lunch to find an unexpected letter from the Court - the b****ard ex is sueing me for maintenance - he wants a lump sum and monthly payments.  It wasn't enough that he lied to me from the first day we met; married me under false pretences; bullied me for the length of our marriage; tried to turn my family against me; and is currently feeding rumours in my workplace that I am the evil party here.  Note - I divorced him for HIS unreasonable behaviour and he didn't contest it.  Now he wants all my money.  Not that there's a lot, but

Just read 'Moaning' by DrewB. Was going to just add a comment but ended up writing a new blog myself - been one of those weeks.

Our problems began in 2003 when my work wasn't going well and money was tight. There's me thinking that that isn't that important as long as we stay strong together - life is full of ups and downs isn't it? You know bad times will come - they only make the good times feel better though and this was my way of looking at it.

The 'credit crunch' is now over a year old, and some research published this week suggests that it might actually be bringing couples closer together. The research from the online bank cahoot found that over a quarter of Brits (27%) admit that they are now less likely to break up with their partner as a direct result of the current economic climate.

People are now less likely to buy a house (42%) or find a new property to rent (21%), but 12.4 million people admit that they are reluctant to split with their partner for fear of facing increased bills, rent and general living expenses.
