I have now being going through the divorce process for coming up to 2 years (and its still on-going), and I am now at the point were I feel strong and in-control, so thought it was time to share my story.

I thought the best place to begin was right at the beginning, with an overview of what led me to this place....

• Summer 03 bought my own property with approx £55k deposit
• Summer 04 started living with stbx in my property (18 months)
• Winter 06 married (4 months)
• No children, no contribution from my stbx.
• Summer 06 separated
• Spring 07 my property sold and proceeds held by solicitor (Approx

So latest idea is that we sell this house - next to no equity in it after costs and mortgage fees etc and I buy her a smaller house to reduce the mortgage payments. I want to try and be fair but I am not buying her a house. The threat now is that unless I agree to her demands then I will not see the children.

I am struggling to understand why or how I managed to marry such a selfish and vindictive person.

This will all be inthe hands of the lawyers and courts now as frankly I don't give a s..t anymore, I want it finished and complete so I can move on. The only thing I want and will fight

Scumbag and I met 3 weeks ago to discuss how we could make healthy progress ( yes I am aware this is divorce we're talking about-but ever the optimist!!) and minimise the damage that the sols seemed intent on causing.
