Afer dropping my son off this morning, I headed off to the Family Law Court with signed paperwork in hand.

I was amazed at how quickly I was able to get in and there was only 2 people in line to see the court clerk.

I filed my paperwor, paid my $167.00 filing fee, and in less than 10 minutes, was assigned a case number.

The clerk instructed me on assembling a packet for the Judge to review and sign, I headed up to the Judge's chambers and dropped them in the in-box.

So this is it.  The divorce petition will be in the post early next week. We're hoping to keep everything amicable.  I've agreed to cop to unreasonable behaviour without argument, we've agreed how to split nearly all the assets and what payments I will make, we've agreed what will happen with the kids, and so on.
