Sometimes blog I wonder why I practice family law. I remember when I was going through uni, watching all the do gooder girlies shouting about their desire to practice family, to bring justice to children and women, having their groany, yawny debates about how wives were stiffed on divorce and how the law didnt work for children.
Not me blog. I wasn't one of them. In fact I used to look at those girlies and not see one bit of me in them - not least of which cos they all wore sandals all the time ; ).
I wanted to do criminal law...I wanted to swoosh round the Crown Courts in my



Good old Mr Justice Ryder. Drawn from chambers in Manchester and being the senior judge for the Northern Circuit he doesnt hold back his punches. Whether his calls will be heard by the great and the good, and even if heard, whether they will do anything, is another matter. But good on him for having the courage to yell.
