I'm taking the advice here that seems to be unanimous to me...no use whatsoever crying, begging, pleading in front of her. I agree it gets me nowhere. However, I also agree with LW when he suggested that it at least shows her the strength of my feelings for her...I really wouldn't want her to leave thinking I couldn't give a toss either way...I could...and I'm hurt...and I love her...and I want that she knows that. Yesterday evening we talked CALMLY for the first time since this all kicked off. I wasn't angry and she wasn't defensive. We both seemed calm. The main point of this heart to heart was to agree our terms of separation. We agreed the following: (1) I'll stay in the current home and she'll move to London (no great surprise there - she can't get out of the blocks quick enough). (2) That our son will have "shared residence" and an even split between us both (I think ultimately that'll be in his true best interests - much as i don't like the thought of him being in inner city London).
