What an odd weekend.

Friday, she tells me she is off for 2 weeks with the children and I am to look after the dogs.  I breathe a sign of relief at the thought of some space and don't mind the dogs.  Friday night decide to call inlaws to check she has arrived, she hasn't and there is slight concern as we assumed she would go during the day and its 6pm by now.  Advise that she has lost job and so be prepared for a difficult time.  Sister in law asks if she can help in anyway to try and 'mediate'.  I'm not sure that will work but it's up to her if she wants to try.

How would I summarise my relationship with my (ex)Wife without it sounding clichéd?
