Not sure where to start with this one. We're not divorced and neither has the word ever been mentioned. I'm of the opinion that when you start talking about separation, divorce will usually follow. True? Or am I jumping the gun.

Happily (or so I thought) for nearly 18 years. She has now, and in her own words, said to "she cant do this anymore".  

We've been here before and managed to work through things like you're supposed to do. But recently she has found the strength to more or less tell me to sling my hook. Says her decisions are based on a serious of events over the last 5 or so years. And

The last couple of  weeks I found myself back -  further back than I wish to remember. Emotionally, I am back to my pre-wiki days.

I went to collect the children from school. I was so tired, so broken, people were asking what's wrong and inviting me for coffee mornings to try and cheer me up.

I have been looking at this site for several days now and all who post on it have my deepest sympathies.

Here is my story.

On the 26th October we had our 21st wedding anniversary. We have 5 children all away from home now. I sent her flowers and a poem.She e mailed and proffessed her undying love and said how much she missed me. I work abroad month at work month at home.

10 days later we had an e mail fight in which she said that I was not her equal, she looked down on me, she did not respect me and that I was not assertive enough amongst other derogatory comments but I'm sure you get the drift
