Have had first hearing this morning for the children.  This was a directions appointment  to decide how we proceed from here.  She was represented by counsel, apparently because her  legal advisor (may not be a solicitor) wasn't sure what would happen today.  A little odd I think.

We were not granted a Welfare report or the testing for alcohol use, but she did acknowledge in court she uses alcohol (above the recommended level) and is on anti depressants.  The judge obviously was relying heavily on the Cafcass report, despite it saying nothing helpful to either side.  So anyone going through

The ex is having a probation report done tomorrow. He is pleading guilty to common assault against me and I think it may be dealt with in the magistrates court on friday of next week (03/09/08). Which means I do not have to testify I think. What will the sentence be I wonder?

He slapped me round the face and threw a kebab at me in case you were wondering.

Would comunity service or a fine make him more angry? Maybe a suspended sentence would help him to behave in a more civilised way? He recieved a suspended sentence the last time he was aggresive to a woman, but he went straight to her

Getting ready for first court hearing this week.  Have got all the papers in order and seeing solicitor tomorrow to ensure that we have our arguments straight.  We have a lot to do to convince the court that my  application for  joint residence  should be granted.  Will probaly seek a welfare report as well as Cafcass seem to have ignore what they were being told.  In fact their report is so feeble it is of no help to anyone, including the court.  Just hope things can move on now.

Rest of the weekend fairly busy, worked on Sat am and had children for pm and all day today.  Good time had by all
