Hi All

I went to court today to contest the divorce my ex petitioned for.  He had been granted the certificate for the DN even though I had not returned the acknowledgement of service.  His solicitor used a copy of a letter I sent offering for me to divorce him for adultry to get round this.

 The judge told me I was too late to contest as I should have returned the acknowledgement to do this.  I told him I did everything on the advise of my solicitor.  He said I had been  mis-advised.

 I felt sure at first he wasn't going to allow me to contest so I thought go for it and I questioned the system

Phew!

The magistrates & court clerk were reasonable and, I believe sympathic.   On the down side -I have been banned for 12 months!  Oh Hell - well we'll deal with that tomorrow!   On the good side -I don't have to pay ugli mistress any compensation (thank the lord!) and I don't have to pay any fines!

So tonight lets celebrate with a few glasses of wine and good company in Chat.  Justice Prevails!
