For a man to have an affair, he is rejecting his partner at a very basic level. He's saying she's not good enough - as a woman. At least that's how I feel. I feel rejected at the most basic level. I am rejected as a woman, my womanhood my femininity, my passion, my love my needs...all of that is cast aside. I am not good enough for him.

Have just received divorce papers citing "unreasonable behaviour".  Amusing considering my wife's affair that has been ongoing for the last 12 months...

Anyway the petition according to my solicitor is very weak and defendable.  I realise that winning only means that we are married and she hates me even more.  But I am trying to buy time.

Due the the age of the children I would rather go for 2 years with consent and the only way forward at the moment is to defend etc.  2 years with consent as I work away and come home at weekends and can take the 3rd floor of the house.  Whilst not ideal it

So we are into July, only 7 months on since she said she wanted out and we seem to have made no progress what so ever.  Nothing has been agreed except that we will communicate in writing via solicitors, I am still sleeping on the sofa and the children are just as confused.

Life seems to be very busy, lots of work and much to look forward to as well.  I am spending a lot of time with the children most evenings and weekends and yet I feel completely lost by it all.  It is still quite possible that I will be left only seeing the children one weekend a fortnight, hoofed out of my home and paying
