A year passed is just another day :)Posted by YNK000 in other, dealing with emotions |
To anyone feeling this day is a marker of time and change, to anyone who might feel a bit down with the turning of a year, please be kind to yourself and remember that we invented these 'markers in time' and that it doesn't have to signify anything more than a different number to write on the date space.
It is still winter, the weather doesn't change just because it is a new year; and if you don't use it as a point of reflection to see what hasn't happened or what the last year brought you, it will feel much better on your soul.
Nothing much has changed for me in almost 3 years of singledom, the time I look forward to more than the clock striking midnight at the end of a year, is spring, and seeing the new growth on the plants as they awake, reminds me that I have some growing yet to do, as I think most of us have.

You're right of course girly and it was good to be reminded that a new year to someone who's life is in turmoil signifies nothing at all. But spring is not far away and the parallels are far more meaningful to those of us who are hoping for a new beginning. 2009 passed and I barely registered anything much but now I'm looking forward to a new beginning, a new spring for me and lots of other wikipeeps in 2010. xx |

| Yay! The new year can be a time to take stock and say to yourself, time to make a new life! Being single, perhaps for the first time in many, many years doesn't mean being miserable, it can be a new challenge, a new opportunity! Life can be good, but it doesn't just happen, you have to leave yourself open to it, that may mean more hurt in the future, but at least you can feel - better to have loved and lost - nes pas! Quoting Futurama, its a bad sign! Please try to be positive, life is not over just because he/she left, its just different, new, challenging! xx Sooz | ||
