Can't believe it is over 6 months since I last wrote on this.
So what has happened, children still with me every night of the week and they see their mother one night a week and on Sundays. She has since become pregnant to someone else and has moved some 10 miles away. Her alcohol intake hasn't changed so real concerns for the unborn child now.
We have the decree absolute through but have not finalised financial matters and are going to FDR in November. Trying to have the house valued at the moment as it is now empty and neither of us want to live in it!! How bizarre when we spent over 12 months with neither wanting to move out. Strange world.
FDR a bit daft as nothing to argue about and what she is asking for in her application is what I offered in March. Just a way to waste more money on lawyers - she is on legal aid now so nothing to lose really.
However I do think the end may be in sight, although I have said that a few times before.
Hoping all is well with the wikivorce community, perhaps I will find time to log on here now the nights are drawing in.

Good luck in reaching final closure. I know you will want the best for the children and that they are safe but you cannot worry about your ex new child as she is now not your responsibility and you will only beat yourself up later with "what if I had said something" if you are not careful. I am struggling with the fact I have no say and that expectations of TBX not giving respect and keeping secrets re my son. I hope that you are better at moving on and focusing on your children and not caring - it is less stressful believe me. Hope you get there soon. J |
