Housewife Down

Something has happened to me over the past day or two. Not quite sure how to describe it, but I feel stronger, calmer and much more together, and far more positive than I have in a long time. This is good, and I hope it lasts! Mike62 sent me a wonderfully uplifting peom, which I printed out and is now on my fridge, I read it in full at least once a day. The weather today is awful, pouring rain/sleet, with snow due later this morning, strong winds and freezing temps. Today is the funeral of a man I knew and liked, a man who basically drunk himself to death. I worry that my s2bx will end the same way,I might not want to remain married to him, or love him anymore, but I do still care what happens to him. I don't really have much to say this morning, which if you knew me, would be a change! Have a good day everyone, live long and prosper! Hugs Ruby

		Ruby - Glad you found the poem a help - Often brings a tear to my eye! I know what you mean about your STBX - I don't love mine, really don't like her right now, but still care about her and worry that she is OK and doesn't make any big mistakes. Habit? or a caring nature? Dunno, but I wish I could just turn the feelings off. Ho hum, Glad to hear you are getting stronger - long road ahead! take care Mike

		I agree with you both. My worst fear is that after all we've been through if everything goes wrong for stbx with his new partner, he'd turn up back on the doorstep. Getting on with a life without them gets easier, but not caring about what happens to them i can't ever see happening. Hopefully, i'll never be put in that position. I want him gone for good. I read a book once about this, where the husband turned up full of remorse, saying he'd made a terrible mistake and asking for her to take him back. She had moved on, and didn't want him anymore. It was written very light heartedly and made me laugh so much. She did everything possible to put him off. She always made sure she looked a wreck when he came round, did all the irritating things he didn't like ...etc etc... Perhaps I'll dig it out again, just in case. Take care Jade
