Highs and Lows of Highland Lass

Sorry about all the navel-gazing and self pity in my first blog, thanks for the kick up the bahookie, guys, it was honest and needed! I went to see my solicitor yesterday. To cut a long sesion short, I know now what my options are and where I stand legally (and his legal obligations too). I've decided to try to opt for a seperation agreement, where the financail side to things is agreed on between both parties, such as divsion of assests, payment of household bills, etc. If a seperation agreement is in place, I cna divorce him a year after seperation. It is the easiest, cleanest and cheapest way to do things. It avoids lots of mud-slinging, huge solicitor bills and too much stress. I feel that, although I have many grounds to divorce him on unreasonable behaviour, I would rather do it quickly, quietly and civilly (as far as possible). He is coming here next week to collect his personal items (which I have packed neatly for him in boxes), and I plan to talk to him then, and just hope that he will agree. Hopefully we can agree, in principle, on the main issues that would be contained in the agreement, as this would save time and money. Will let you know what happens. We have snow forcast for tommorow - can't wait to go sledging!But today I ahve to do wonderful things like clean the loo and wash the kitchen floor.Think I will get Nina Simone to assist!
