My Wife and ex best matePosted by davej1808 in positive thinking, my day today |
Day 12. sorry to say but mostly not a great day. Stbx started off being nice but then really lashed out on the phone and was generally not being nice at all. After a few mins I thought I dont need to listen to this any more. We are no loner a couple so I hung up and ignored my phone for the rest of the day. Any way today I wont bore you with the details of my day but instead post a poem that was sent to me today because a good friend thought I needed to read it. For those of you in a similar boat to me I think you will relate to this: -- W. E. Henley -- Invictus -- OUT of the night that covers me, Black as the pit from pole to pole, I thank whatever gods may be For my unconquerable soul. In the fell clutch of circumstance I have not winced nor cried aloud. Under the bludgeonings of chance My head is bloody, but unbow'd. Beyond this place of wrath and tears Looms but the Horror of the shade, And yet the menace of the years Finds and shall find me unafraid. It matters not how strait the gate, How charged with punishments the scroll, I am the master of my fate: I am the captain of my soul.

Dave, When I am feeling really down, this always helps me to put things into perspective... (see link below) Another day passed, one more closer to the end of the nightmare. http://www.wikivorce.com/divor...y-low.html Keep on plodding mate! Mike |
