Well after two days and over 4 hours of interview time I have been offered a new job !!!
Well done...............Congratulations I can hear you all say..............or is it????
Why do I not feel elated at the prospect of a fab new job and new adventure in my life........................maybe it is because I now have just 21 days to turn my life upside down and start again as I start in January !!!
21 days to leave the marital home, find somewhere to live, start a new career path, start a new life.
To be honest I am dreading it, dreading the thought of packing up with no where to go save for a girlfriends fold up spare bed till I can rent somewhere.
21 days with Christmas in the middle is a nightmare to find somewhere to live believe me. I can't even pack up properly till I have my own space as my friends house is full to brimming anyway let alone have all my gear in it.
Atthe moment it all seems to much and not enough time to do it in, with the questions of doubt creeping in at every corner...............am I doing the right thing, have I done it too soon, what if I delay a while, of course I am looking for any excuse to put it all off, but realistically it has to be done at some stage.
Christmas who needs it life is a headache enough xx

Moonstar - you can't make an omlette without breaking eggs... Yes, it's scary, Yes it's sudden, Yes it's not ideal, however......It is the start of your new life! Congratulations - In six months, this will all be a distant memory. Good luck - Get packing, with a smile on your face. Hope it goes well, Mike |

| I agree with Mike. Even if you had your own place to move to then it would still be a wrench. Its great that you got a new job and what makes it sour is that you have to move. But like Mike said in 6 months you will be fine. I know its hard and divorce realy is shite but you will be fine. Concentrate on this job. Find somewhere to live and you will be OK. Best ones, Chris. | ||

| It's going to be mine and the kids 1st xmas without my husband too, luckily I will be with family. New years is going to be the hardest for me because we met New Years Eve 24 years ago and this time was always special. But I'm being positive as I can't change the past but can surely reshape my future and I hope you can bring yourself to focus on your future one day at a time you will get through it. | ||

A huge congratulations..you got what sounds a fantastic job opportunity while you perhaps were not 100%..it sounds like you have loads to offer and should be proud of this achievement. Packing up a home is no easy task, but you will look back and give yourself a pat on the back..nothing is impossible..nothing is easy...can you afford storage until you find a place..don't forget a stop gap of a cheap B&B near to your new place of work..this will give you time to shop around for a new home..I think your new employers when they get to know you will admire your efforts to work for them. Go for it...a new year is coming time for sorting your old life out in readiness for the new.. Take care xx |
