Spring is here, there are cute baby lambs in the fields, the spring flowers are in bloom and the clocks have gone forward. The long dark winter days are finally gone, and I for one, am enjoying the sunshine.

I have resolved to be more positive and upbeat in my blogs – too much navel-gazing is bad for my posture! Time to put my shoulders back, and face the sun!  There is so much out there that is good and enriching, and I don’t want to miss out again.

I have realised that my previous blogs are far too introspective and in some cases, downright miserable! After reading Mongmong’s Blog entry “Why Blogging Helps”, I have decided that I need to look at all the good things in my life, and record them in future blogs, and be more upbeat when talking about my emotions – life is not all doom and gloom for me, but I do seem to only record the gloomy emotions!

This week, my children are spending with their dad, they were very excited in the build-up to the Easter holidays and seeing him again. Watching not just their faces, but his as well,

The ice around my heart has, of late, begun to melt. My frozen heartstrings have been tugged, and I have begun to feel again. This is frightening, as I know that any cracks in the ice leave me open and vulnerable. I have no desire to feel the hurt again, to put my emotional well-being into the hands of others, and so I must not allow the ice to melt any further. My frozen heart is my own protection, my body-armour if you will. Only I can guard myself from any further anguish, and for
