It's not fair!!Posted by hrm in being single, accepting its over |
I'm fed up being a single parent. I don't want to play this game any more. I want to go back to how it was before!!
It's tiring, frustrating and the hardest job I've ever done.
I'm fed up having to decide, having to organise, having to do, having to drive, having to say no and having to do everything else myself.
It's not what I signed up to 19 years ago and it's not fair!!!

Hi hrm, Let me share this with you, I got it from a friend: Victory belongs to the most persevering. (Napoleon Bonaparte) What is perseverance? Perseverance is commitment, hard work, patience, endurance. Perseverance is being able to bear difficulties calmly and without complaint. Perseverance is trying again and again. Too often in our quest in life we undertake a difficult project but easily get frustrated or discouraged. We put in all the groundwork, prepare well but in the actual execution that tests what you are made of, we come up with reasons why we should give up. It is too hard, we cannot cope, somebody else is frustrating us, let me give up and run away, boy I need a drink!?.. Some of the biggest success stories belong to people who persevered and overcame disabilities to achieve their life?s ambition: Beethoven (composer) - was deaf Ray Charles (musician) - is blind Thomas Edison (inventor) - had a learning problem Albert Einstein (scientist) - had a learning disability Stevie Wonder (musician) - is blind Vincent Van Gogh (artist) - was mentally ill So how can you cope when you find life getting to be all too much and way too challenging? Face and accept what happens in your life. Express your feelings. Write about your feelings. Get help if you need it. Try to make it better. Take good care of yourself. Learn and grow from your experiences, including the ones that hurt. Nobody trips over mountains. It is the small pebble that causes you to stumble. Pass all the pebbles in your path and you will find you have crossed the mountain. ~Author Unknown You can do it! Hang in there and grab the life you deserve. The world is your oyster J |

Thank you Couki for such a great encouraging quote. I think being a parent is the best kept secret. No one tells you when you're pregnant how hard it is going to be. The older generation have a pact to keep it quiet. Oscar Wilde wrote To regret one's own experience is to arrest one's own development. To deny one's experience is put a lie into the lips of one's own life. It is no less than a denial of the soul. The important thing, the thing that liets before me the thing that I have to do if the brief remainder of my days is not maimed marred or incomplete is to absorb into my nature all that has been done to me to make it part of me to accept it without complaint fear or reluctance. We cannot change the past. We can learn from our mistakes to change the future. |
