So, things have been going pretty well of late. I'm mostly enjoying living on my own in my house where I can decide exactly what & what not to do. I am also in a nice relationship with a good man. I'm ready to get divorced now - don't want to be ex's wife anymore. I still get sad from time to time, mostly about what a waste it all was in the end. I don't hate him but don't love him either. We still have some financial stuff to sort out - mostly relating to getting me removed from the joint mortgage - can't believe how hard this is to do but something about the FMH now being in

My First Blog - 2 years and 8 months post separation...

Today, I write my first blog.  It comes after what has been the worst period of my life.  On 11th January 2009 my husband told me he was in "love" with someone else & everything I had known to that point disentegrated in a second.  I felt completely stunned, unable to think, eat & barely able to function.  The first few weeks were the worst - I was living in a complete daze & at one point, driving my car into a tree, head on, seemed like a reasonable - the only - course of action.  I just wanted the pain to stop & it wouldn't.
