To Mr Blogman and all you wonderful wiki peeps, I joined this site nearly four months ago and today had a look at some of the posts that I did in the very early days. It mad me cry, not because i`m particually sad but because when new people first start posting its so much how I felt in the early days and how everyone else must have felt. The hurt, the pain, the true realisation that the marriage/relationship is over.
Without this site I really don`t think I would have survived this far. I feel much stronger now, still have those sad days but I certainly feel a lot better than I did four months ago.
I have been in trouble a few times for being a little rude in chat and using inapropriate language and totally understand that this was unacceptable but unfortunately just wasn`t thinking and now appreciate just how insensitive I was being to other people especially newbies coming here for support and I apologise to anyone I offended.
I would like to thank you ALL for the support that I have received and would also like to say a BIG thank you to Mish who kindly held my hand and guided me into chat to meet you all and also thank you her puting up with my sobbing on the phone, it did help enormously and to all the others that have been there for me on the end of a phone. Also a very BIG thank you to Ian for setting up this site.
I have received to much support, help and advice and hope that I can give back to this site and help others as much as I have been helped.
The road is very long and very rocky but time is a great healer and unfortunately there is no timescale because everyone is different and we all travel on that horrible roller coaster and hope that one day it will stop.
I have resisted the urge to phone ot text my husband and have heard nothing from him now for nearly 10 days, to me that is such an achievment. My nisi was granted at court today.
Thank you to everyone who arranges the fantastic get togethers, i`m looking forward to Wikiween and am looking forward so much to meeting up with all you lovely people again.
Take care all of you and remember you can always get support and advice and make some very good friends on here and also there is always someone available at the end of a phone should we need to talk. I remember in the early days, I would be in chat then suddenly tears would start to roll down my face and I would ask in chat to talk to someone....I needed to hear a voice....I got that support and always felt so much better for it. There is no need to feel alone or isolated when we have Wiki.

Saffy, Strong words, softly spoken. I couldn't agree more with your observations. Wikigod is indeed a top geezer, and wikipeople are the best friends we could have at this time of our lives. It is unbelievable how many people have been helped by the site, from all walks of life and from such diverse backgrounds. We arrive feeling so alone and with some help and guidance find our way back onto the road to that new life. Well said Saffy! Mike |

What a nice blog, I do hope newbies read this and understand the support that is here for them. None of us maybe trained to help others but we understand what they are going through as we have all been through it and experianced the pain and hardship. I for one am so glad that not only did I find Wiki but I also found some good friends along the way. As for you Saffy ! Well your just Saffy aren't you . And I like you just the way you are and your have never upset me either. ( well not yet ) |
