Counting My BlessingsPosted by rubytuesday in self improvement, positive thinking, moving on |
Time to count my blessings, I think.
Two years ago, on the 11th of October, my friend died. She was only 38 years old, and had 3 young children under the age 0f 7, and a devoted husband. She was an amazing woman, full of life, humour, and love for her family. She left a lasting impression on all who had the fortune to meet her. To have your life snatched away from you like that makes me realise just how fortunate I am to wake up every morning breathing.
The past year has taught me so much, that no matter what life throws at you, you can recover, become strong again and look to the future. Sometimes its too easy not to see whats good in your life because youcan only see the darkness. Ive also learnt not to close any doors, because you never know what the future holds.
I will spend some time this weekend thinking about my friend, and counting the blessings and sunspots that are my world.

((((((((((RUBY))))))))) It is a nice place to be ,we can spend too much time looking at the darkside that we do not notice the sun shining in. My thoughts are with you. I had the unfortunate luck of losing a good friend at the age of 33yrs,her daughter was the same age as mine 5 yrs old and this made me appreciate my health and little things we take for granted even though sometimes I need a little kick up the but to jog my memory. Take care |
