A Little PoemPosted by Shezi79 in poetry poems |
Joseph
The heart that beats, the feet that kick,
The eyes that open wide.
The journey starts, there is no rush;
Content to stay inside.
He waits awhile - he's sleeping still?
Anticipating birth...
The world awaits, the moment that
His feet will tread this Earth.
He ponders life, so warm, secure.
He feels his mother's heart.
But now it's time, the moment's here...
Their bodies they must part.
He's lifted free, to breathe alone.
He knows his mother's near.
The smells, the sounds, it's all so strange.
And yet he knows no fear.
They hold him close, for he is theirs.
Their little Joseph, son.
He'll bless them both, they gave him life.
Their hearts this child has won.
