10 months on.....Posted by rubytuesday in positive thinking, planning my new life, my story, happiness |
Just another 8 weeks to go until my divorce papers can be submitted to the court. Under Scottish Law, and with the simplified process, the soonest one can submit divorce papers is under the 12 months non-cohabitation clause. Well, it’s now been 10 months since he left, so just another 8 short weeks until I can request that our marriage is declared legally ended.
The house is on the market, and I’ve not exactly been speedy with my responses for requests for information. I don’t want to sell, or put my girls through more upheaval, they deserve a period of calm, of peace and happiness before having to face any upheaval again. But he wants his share of the house (which he is perfectly entitled to), and sooner than was originally agreed. So, heyho, I will just have to get on with it. At least I still have the huge tent, should we need somewhere to stay in a hurry – I know a lovely wee spot by the river where we can camp, just think campfires, latrine holes in the woods, star-gazing, beasties trying to get in to the tent…..almost sounds idyllic!
What I do know is that whatever life throws at me, at my children, we will be ok, more than ok. We are a strong unit, supportive of each other, and will face life’s difficulties together, head on. Our dark days are gone, banished to the back of our memory banks, we don’t need to dwell on what has gone before, but look forward to a future that is happy, bright and filled with love and hope. For me, personally, life is so good, and I count my blessings each day. Wasn’t always like that, of course, but with the unending support and love I receive, and hopefully return, I am healed, happy, contented with life, and thankful for all that life has to offer. Ty B.

Not sure if global warming has had effects north of The Great Glen yet. As always, your blog sounds calm and collected even though they must be pretty scary times. Have you considered being a life coach or a counsellor? Take care Roobs Julian |

Ruby, where ever you settle, will be a home, filled with love and laughter, and you never know maybe even a greyhound or two. the sun always shines on the righteous, so keep walking into the sunshine, you are in the spotlight, revell and enjoy, but remember your hat and suncream! Halo |
