Meet Mean Mr MoodyPosted by divwiki in Untagged |
Yesterday was the 2nd day of the rest of my life, in that I've now had two days in a row where my x2b has been consistent about what she wants. Perhaps now I can start to make some plans.
I had a bit of work today so she couldn't contact me until late afternoon. She had kept another medical appointment, her scan, and they are now saying that she needs to have her cervix examined and maybe if they're not happy with that to then have a biopsy taken. She told me in a very matter of fact way and there were none of the usual visual prompts for a hug. I guess she has to tell someone, her lover isn't back from Spain until today.
Anyway she had come over to collect more of her stuff. I pointed out to her that anything I had used, eg hoover, tv and computer, throughout the relationship was to stay as part of the clean break agreement unless she was desperate for something in which case we could negotiate down the £15K accordingly.
She seemed mightily relieved. She had thought that I would keep her things! I had an image of me sitting in her clothes and make-up, wearing her jewellry. Unpleasant! I was surprised and saddened by how little she wanted to take, especially little presents I had bought her. I slipped some in her bag anyway. She said I was entitled to her engagement and wedding rings, but I don't think that true of the engagement as we did get married and as I'm keeping my wedding ring I don't think I should take hers back. Mine is a Lord of the Rings one, tacky but quirky and it is the only jewelery I have. I've been thinking about switching it to my right hand, would that signify divorce?
She says she's secured an agreement with her Mum and Brother not to abuse and harass me any more over the council flat. However, her brother had said that he wanted the tv and computer back that he had given her as presents years ago. She reckons to have told him no as she can do as she wishes with presents and she wishes to include them in the clean break agreement.
I gave her a lift back with the clothes etc. We did discuss further the grounds she is trying to find for divorce and I think she is going for mean with money, moody, tv addict, then she is struggling a bit. The solicitor said come up with as much as you can. She didn't think much of my suggestions: he snores and he hates my family.
Finances are going to be harsh for a while now I'm paying everything on the flat, do I dare get that 2nd hand sports car? One things for sure, life will never be the same again.

| I don't get why you have to admit to being unreasonable? Is it just that you want this resolved as quickly as possible? Seems a bit silly when you clearly haven't been unreasonable. Anyway - it looks like it going in the right direction. A Lord of the Rings wedding ring - thats great!!!!!!!!! I don't even wear a a ring - never have! | ||
