I had another one of my confrontational 'chats' with my STBX the other day (sorry I can't help myself, it just happens)
My button was pushed when she started talking about going to school plays, parents evenings together etc. She said we will have to be civil etc, to which I said that she should have thought about that before she started screwing around.
She then came out with this beaut - 'There's two people in this marriage, and blah, blah, blah...' Whoa, rewind, there's two people in this what? Marriage? The marriage you have chosen to dissolve, are you mad?
I informed her that at last count there were at least eight, to which she came up with the usual justifications. Don't get me wrong, there are reasons we split, but no justification for trying to shag the male population of West Yorkshire.

Heath, Please go to all the school stuff and any other childrens things you can be involved in. If you can't be civil to STBX then avoid her, but don't miss the kids things unless you have to. Easier said than done, I know, but hang in there. GF |

Goofy, No way I am I missing anything my kids do at school etc... I told her that I will be going to these events, but not sat anywhere near her. But we are NOT married, that's where my problem lay. Heath |

Have the same problem. My son is inviting him to his school concert and his parents too.But I am adamant I will sit elsewhere, not with them. I hate him so much at the moment I can't stand the look of him. I know his parents will be upset because they would like us to sit together but I don';t care. I feels, Heath, that you are at the strong hate stage as I am. It feels terrible. I looks that only if something bad happened to him could make me feel better. I hope it will pass soon. Petrof |

Heath, You are rightly upset, mad, etc, about the behaviour of your ex, however, you know it gets you know where when you engage in these exchanges! I go to all of my kids school related stuff, as well as their friends birthdays etc, my children didn?t lose their dad when we split, my ex did lose her great husband, her loss! And now that her relationship with new bloke has gone to sh1t, she is beginning to realise it! GM |

Heath, 8 from your stbx beats my stbx's 3. Thought I was having it tough... Like you I make the odd jibe towards her infidelity. The one I like in particular is when she says they were not affairs... and I counter with... The why were you telling them that you are in love with them... There is of course no response. Do not let her project what she has done onto you... You are the innocent party... Stay strong.. |
