Feeling a bit better thanks to another blogger!

When i wrote my entry  a few days ago i then chatted to a great person who confirmed that what i was expecting from my husband was completely reasonable. Thanks so much downbutnotout!!!

I am on my own now as my ex has taken the kids to Wales on holiday. I originally suggested it to him as a way for them to spend time together but all he did was ask the girlfriend and her kids  too!! My situation is very difficult as he lives around the corner and has taken up with the mother of my daughter's best friend. So when they go for the weekend it is to spend time with all of them too! He sits and drinks and snogs the girlfriend and they are left to their own devices. Consequently my daughter really didn't want to go on holiday with them. I advised him to talk to her but all he could do was tell her she had to and that was that! Eventually we persuaed her to go. I talked with her and she can see that whilst waiting for a financial settlement we can't afford to upset him. I spoke to her last night and she had had an awful day - the kids all arguing. I felt so bad - i didn't want them to go and i miss them loads. We have a special relationship because he was never there for them and we ended up with us against him because of the drinking. I am especially close to my daughter - she is my best friend. Sometimes though i do feel bad about leaning on her but can't do without her. I do have  a boyfriend at the moment but find it very difficult to maintain the relationship because i get soo tired and do not have the energy for more than my children. Anyway i really need to try and stay positive - it will end eventually. The court has the papers now so the wheels are in motion. I need to clean out my daughters guinea pig hutch now so back to the normal mum stuff!
