Dear Mr Blogman
Today I opened up my hubbies bank statement by mistake as thought it was mine, having asked him on repeated occasions to get his post re directed. I discovered that he has taken out rather a large loan and its my address on his bank statement.
I phoned my solicitor and spoke to secretary and have got to give them a copy of it so she can check it out.
I also phoned the bank as I bank with the same as he does. I have to write a letter explaining that he does not live here and that the house is purely in my name, also give them the name of my solicitor because if he has used this address for the purpose of obtaining the loan then this is classed as fraudulent. The bank will be passing his statement up to their head office with my letter to deal with it. I will also put his new address plus his work address on letter.
I spoke to experiean after having some very good advice in chat from all and especially mish...thank you. Experiean have told me that because we have never held a joint bank account or have never owned or applied for anything jointly, I have nothing to worry about and it will not affect my credit rating. Still annoying though.
My husband is a compulsive liar and I googled one of his entries on his statement and it for a letting agency in the Blackburn area where he has paid them some monies. I presume he is moving lol....I hope so because I just want this man as far away from me as possible.
He appears to be having a grand old time spending lots of money in various pubs and withdrawing huge ammounts from cashpoint machines.
I realise now that I never knew this man, still hurts and wish I could stop loving him.
Thank you Mr Blogman for listening.
Saffy xxx

It is quite scary how little we knew the men we gave our hearts to and intended spending the rest of our lives with. It always makes me think of that film 'Invasion of the Body Snatchers'. The once loving caring men have been replaced by cold, calculating imposters who seem intent on hurting us. My fingers are crossed for you that he's moving. Take care Mad x |

If his name is not on the deeds of the property and the bank forwarded him a loan with that postal address and he doesn't live there and he didn't make that clear to the bank , that is almost fraud, certainly not compliant with the terms and conditions iof the loan! You did the right thing with experian and personally I would write to the bank and request a response. Cover your back Good luck |

| experian is one of the credit reference agencies (google it). For £3 (i think )you can find out if your credit rating has been damaged by activities of devious spouse. They will write to your spouse to tell them you've asked though, or at least they did when I checked. | ||
