All references to my marriage and life with my husband must now be in the past tense. My love is past. It didn't end peacefully, crawl to a snail's pace and die. He killed it one night just a s surely as if he'd beaten me and left me for dead. I know my memories of that night are frozen in the horror of his words but I remember asking, why don't you just kill me? In effect that's what he did. My life changed so dramatically overnight. Why? Because he believed he'd found love with my friend.
At first the pain at its passing was tremendous. It felt as though the earth was falling away from me,
