Whilst at work, I had a call from my wife - strangely calm - had to double check it was her. She told me she had been doing a lot of thinking about her behaviour over the past years etc. and she did not want us to part with her thinking for the rest of her life that she could have made the marriage work.

Have spoken to some very useful and helpful people today about my situation and my stbx.

I am now giving serious consideration to seeking residency of the children with me. A lot of people consider her behaviour to be far from normal or healthy for the children and her level of care over the last couple of years has been poor to say the least.

To date I have taken the view that I will try and rock the boat as little as possible but I now realise that this may not be in the childrens best interest. Until it is too late we all have no idea what will happen to children as a result of separation

Yesterday I was very stressed as well as having feelings of uncertainty and sadness for the future.
