I feel sick - my head is pounding and most of all I never thought, he would do this to his children. Today I check my bank balance and have had to phone the csa. Why? because the payment was missing and my mortgage is due to be paid monday. After two phone calls I discover the reason the payment was missing because my ex, has given up work to claim benefits. Im paying the mortgage and without the csa payment, Im going to struggle - I think he has done this in order to force me to sell. I don't know whether or not I my head is going to explode or I want to be sick first and god only knows where I stand with regards to keeping the house now.. I feel like my life is ending.

Been in a similar situation im left to pay a hugggggggggggggge mortgage. Contact the company and inform them some are more helpful than others. Tell them what u can afford now. Get a receipt from them. Then inform them that u will or have told your sol this will give u some breathing space. If u cant afford it all then paying a least something regularly will help u in the long run. Checkout the forum loads of advice there. Heres hoping x |

It will never cease to amaze me the way some men think. Does he think that he is better off on benefits rather than being able to provide sufficiently for his children. Has he no pride. Sounds like he could be trying to bully you into what he wants has he been pushing for the house to be sold. Sit tight my sister did and she only had one child her ex had to accept whatever she could raise the mortgage to buy him out. |

Floosy, I know men often feel the courts are biased towards women but when they pull this sort of trick it doesn't surprise me that the courts deal with them harshly. We're not all like that, can't advise you but am thinkin of you. Big hug and all the best, Richard x |

Floosy, My husband did the same. He gradually started to cancel all the bills in the house and finally the mortgage. He did however re-instate the mortgage after my solicitor writing to his and is paying half the mortgage.Am struggling at the moment and the farce is I can't access my savings account because it's all frozen. They do play dirty why I don't know. Mine has been on sick leave for over 2 years saying he is suffering from depression due to the break down of the marriage which is a whole load of rubbish as he met someone . He has also stated that his employer might decide to dismiss him on the grounds that he is unfit to do his job! This is of great concern to him as he quotes on his form E yet he's ran up debts of over 20k on his credit cards spending money on the good life with his new partner! They are comical.Keep strong am sure between the mortgage company and your solicitor something can be sorted out temporarily. regards Anna (anuska) |

Hi Floosy, if you havent already contact your mortgage company and change the mortgage over to interest only as this will save approx £150 pm. go and see the social security, if you are working you will be entitled to working tax credits and they might be able to help with the mortgage, they will only pay the interest part on a mortgage not the repayment. if you are not working they will pay all of the mortgage interest. dont phone them as they will fob you off go into their offices. hope it helps kind regards dawn |
