Havent blogged for ages so thought I would get some things out of my system. Feeling generally OK but have learned that STBX's request that I am generous & reasonable will not work. I have been generous on the potential asset split & am getting requests for more & more. Why can she not realise that we are both losers in this & her life cannot go on as it was before - we now have to finance two homes.
On a personal note I have accepted a less demanding job as the stress of the divorce and work was really getting me down - maybe a bad move but I will be more in control. Life is very lonely - good friends have moved a long way away (as in the other side of the world) and mutual friends (not all though) have melted away very quickly. It is as though the bricks of life are in place (work, food, hobbies) are in place but the mortar of someone to share them with is missing. Strangely the loneliness isnt unbearable - it just takes time to get used to.
For those of you who are feeling down - take life day by day & dont think of the long term - we have all felt absolutely lost & focussing on the things you need to do in the short term is a great way of staring to slowly put life back together.

Hi Andy Sometimes like now i read blogs to make me feel like imnot alone no what ur sayin about friends. The first few wks lots of people offer to help some stay away cos they dont know wat to say others take sides. I view it like this the few that have stuck by me are true friends, others well their loss. Some friends have admitted they wish there were strong enough to follow suite. Perhaps it raises issues they dont want to face. Stay strong x |

Andy, True friend will always be there, some just can not cope with the problem of who they see or don't. Our friend 2 doors away are getting married the end of the month, the invite arrived to find that it is STBX and guest, neither have the ball to say it to my face but they have already made there minds up. But as my mate above says, it's there loss in the end. On the finance thing if you read my blog you will see that I'm in the same place as you and fair just doesn't wash with some poeple. Anyway enjoy your time as much as you can |
