Excitement and euphoria of last weekend worn off and been at home all week. Only outings to work to try to sort laptop – still not right (have a list of issues to phone through to Service Provider when back on network).And today weekly shop and opticians to pick up new glasses.
Note to self: 7 days off in a row is too much time on my hands!
So what have I achieved – nothing!
That’s not fair – cleaned house from top to bottom, cleaned downstairs windows inside and out. Did majority of washing and ironing (me, kids and household). Cooked a fully homemade meal each night.
Still need to change beds and get rid of that washing and ironing, and really wanted to clean my car, but it’s so cold out!
Not much warmer in here, although have put the heating on for longer than it has been – well I pay half the bill! And annex is constantly underfloor heated- you just turn up the temperature. Wonder, does he turn it down knowing how many days, nights he is not here? (Probably not - he'll just complain it's gone up!). GUESS WHAT - I'M TRYING TO KEEP "YOUR KIDS, YES, YOUR KIDS, WARM". "OW's kids are NOT your responsibility!"
Take on the responsibilty for your family! Your kids may now be legally classed as adults BUT GUESS WHAT - that's a number! Dad should be dad forever".
Not looking forward to going back to work either, especially if it snows, as I’m supposed to be “out on the road” for the next two weeks. Add to that we are now in the last week of planning to implement new team structures which is just so much admin and checking..............
SH!te weekend approaches!..................
And if I can believe my email account I now have 80 emails with 39 to be dealt with urgently plus another 20 calendar reminders – Joy oh Joy! Thyey can wait til Monday!!
Patrick we did get some art supplies from Lidl and should have gone sooner - pictures of easel makes it better than Hobby Craft version and would have been half the price! Woe is me!!!
Should also have gone with first instict on laptop as it had to be returned as issues with keyborad strokes. Money refubdeed and we (son and me) went to Comet today to source a resplacemnt - currenrly charging so I guess morning will decide it's fate.

Hey Carlykav - without realising you probably gave yourself some head space...and things have been sorting themselves in your head without you realising .....it's exhausting, but necessary. Hope your weekend ok and laptop issues resolved. sc | |

Wow sounds like you have been busy- its all good stuff and will help you in the days ahead because you know you can cope with this stuff even if it gets you down sometimes. Well done you! | |

Carly , do you ever take any time for you? You always seem to be running round for the kids and sorting out work problems. You need to do something just for you. Look after yourself Nan. |

Carly you need to take your foot of the pedal and go for a walk. Be that an actual walk or something else, your getting wrapped too tight and if that happens something will snap. | |
