Life is a lottery, some say. Just when you think that you have finally got the winning ticket, you realise that the numbers were for last week! I believe in trying to make your own "luck", and making the most of each opportunity. This is harder to practice than to preach, but I am hopeful that I am now able to put this in practice.
I finally feel as though I have turned a corner. The rollercoaster I mentioned in my last blog entry suddenly switched tracks, and I now find myself on a more even journey. I am able to do the normal everyday things that I have previously struggled to do, cook a simple meal and eat it, the bigger household chores, read more than 2 pages of my book in a week. Small things that I have missed so much - if I never have to look at another ready meal again, that will be just fine with me!
The reason for the change in tracks? Well, I realised that being miserable and introspective so much wasn't helping me to achieve anything. I needed to find an end result and focus on that. I have talked before about moving back to my hometown, that is my end result - for this part of my journey, and it is that that I remain focused upon. There is still quite a way to go before I can get there, but as long as I don't loose sight things will be fine and work out. Certain things don't worry me so much, I feel better able to deal with life, and am prepared now for whatever it wants to throw at me.
In the meantime, I need to set myself smaller, achievable goals, like not hiding in the house so much, returning my library books(!), getting the house ready for valuation and hopefully selling, more proper cooking, getting the girls to tidy their bedrooms (oh, that will be a miracle, still I have to have hope.....).

life is about small manageable chunks that suite how you deal with things, but also looking forward instead of backwards, we are all guilty of continually hanging on to negative situations, all the time , because we see them as challenges and thats not right, no one is an expert in dealing with these things but hopefully through this site you will get an exposure that gives you comfort in what advise its members give can give you in dealing with those situations take care ricky |

| Great to hear this, Ruby. Getting to grips with the little things is absolutely essential to getting your life back in order. Until you do that, you're living in chaos. Once you've got the day to day crap under control, though, so much else just falls into place. | ||

Ruby, After our many chats, I have seen you change over the last few months, Just take one day at a time and ''live for tomorrow not yesterday'' We all have a future that is unwritten, it is down to us and our actions on how that story unfolds. You know the rest but if you dont just ask. Take care Broken1 |
