Back to reality-batteries rechargedPosted by Donnylass in Untagged |
I feel like I could take on the world at this moment in time. I will try to hang on to this feeling in my memory, when time passes + the feelings of fear + misery return as they no doubt will at some point.
I had a wonderful relaxing day at Champneys on Friday- anyone (men + women) who ever gets the chance to go, take it. My daughter + I made a pact not to mention b*****d + we stuck to it. We both felt totally relaxed + the day seemed to go on for ever. I had been so frightened that it would fly by.
We had a lovely day wandering round the shops yesterday + then went for a delicious Thai meal last night. We went on to a wine bar to meet some of my daughters friends who thankfully didn't treat me like a sad old biddy!
My daughter had a long chat with her dad on Thurs. She was delighted to hear that he + his new lady are 'having some issues'-tho' he is still taking her to meet our eldest son next weekend + she has been invited to his nieces wedding in August. This is causing the lady some problems as they have agreed to take their 'relationship' 1 day at a time in the true AA fashion-apparently she can't understand how he can be making these long term plans! Hey welcome to his world-I could never understand the working of his mind either tho that was apparently because I'm not an alcoholic! He wanted our daughter to meet her, but she said she didn't want to, + has told him he must not turn up at her house with the lady in tow + force a meeting on her as he did our youngest son. This made him go quiet apparently. So, his new relationship is a little rocky + he's reversed into a bollard + damaged his car-oops!! Not having much luck!Apparently he is completely moving out of our home this week. He is thinking of moving out of the area-which is news to me as he is supposed to be buying me out of our house!
Anyway, I refuse to let the confusion of his life cloud mine. The hour has gone on-summer approaches. A dear friend, who has only just got to find out about my situation has just rung to offer her support. My youngest son + his girlfriend were waiting for me when I got home-which meant I didn't have to return to an empty house. Tomorrow the financial advisor is coming to talk mortgages (gulp). My daughter has texted me telling me to keep smiling-because I look really beautiful when I smile!!!Things move on-onward + upward I hope!!

Whatever you think of your husband just be thankful that he allowed those beautiful children to be born. I assume that all their best genes came from you of course! But they do sound so wonderful and your daughter especially. Well done on you and on them! |

glad to hear you had a nice weekend, and that things are on the up. (Watch out that he isn't playing games here though?Letting your daughter think he may have problems in the relationship so it gets back to you?Just a word of caution, from experience? Not that you would care what your s2bx is up to! )Onwards and upwards.. and stay strong. |
