feeling more positive.Posted by townie in positive thinking, moving on, feeling down |
Another weekend is almost upon us. I am feeling more positive this weekend. My s2bx will be taking my son over to his place, and I will be on my own with my daughter, who of course will be going out with her own friends.
I have decided to go to London, to a craft and sewing show, on saturday. On sunday I will take myself to the gym.I have a dvd for saturday night.
I think the way to keep myself from feeling so down and alone is to keep busy ,plan ahead and try to occupy my mind with more positive things, and not to focus on what was, just on what is now and what life is going to be like.
I found a very useful and interesting book today at the library..Survive divorce..by Victoria Perrett. It is very good, and helpful.
I get to meet with my solicitor on Monday, to discuss my options now he wants 20% of the house sale, and to discuss how I stand legally about putting the house up for sale,in a few weeks.
I feel so ready now to move on and away from this house we had brought with such hopes for the future. My future will be hopeful, just with different hopes and plans to the ones we made together.I have to try to remember that.

| Good for you Townie - you have come a long way over the last few months. Climbing a mountain isn't all done at sprinting speed. Have to slow down and have rest periodically. Positive, busy, future, plans - all words that filled us all with dread some months back. Great to see you using them. Take care, enjoy your DVD and don't overdo the gym! Mike | ||

its a slow and natural progression townie, the past is the past and some elements will never be forgotten. But focusing on things for yourself and promoting more positive thoughts will lead to different and better hopes for you i am sure. take it easy Ricky |

| That's a great attitude, townie, and you're an inspiration to the rest of us. You're finding things to do, and looking to the future, which is the best way - the only way, perhaps - to move on. And you're making sure you have the facts when it comes to the house, not just relying on assumptions and hearsay. And, most importantly, you're determined to pick yourself up and have some fun with your life. Way to go! | ||
