Tommorow is the Nisi and Thursday the house is sold.
Friday is a new life.
Found the STBX takening stuff from the house that was on the inventory for sale. Texted her to consider returning, or paying if the buyer complains. Well her response wasn't positive to say the least.
Moving the last load this evening, found the brother in law takening down her shed. Initailly he was a bit defensive, but said it was ok, and asked where was STBx, wasn't she helping. The answer was "no". So instead of cleaning last rooms in house, help him take down shed.
We talked about the situation and how he was fed up with her coming over complaining about me and everything in general. One comment made me laugh,
"What have a done and what I'm I going to do now". Well STBx this was your idea and now you have what you wanted and have to stand up on your own.
20 yo was moaning as well and response from brother in law was.
"Who paid for your driving lessons, who brought your first car and replaced it when it was stollen, who paid for your college - Now you have no one able to help you and you will need to start looking after yourself and stop turning jobs down and start paying for your own keep"
Few other comments, that made me feel better, but not for here.
Last weekend was my weekend with the boys, we got the polytunnel down in five hours on saturday. Between them they dug out 10 x 2ft cube holes to get the foundation lose.
Sunday morning went to collect more stuff from the house, when we got back to the flat the 8YO took two items indoors, whilst I underloaded the rest into the garden shed. Went indoors to find him, eventually found him in bed fast asleep.
Our next weekend together is going to be a fun weekend as they have worked really hard on the last two weekends they have been with me.
Well tommorow the STBx will become the X, the house gone on Thursday.
Friday, its a new life and I'm looking forward to it - well once I've finished sorting out the flat (lol)

What an enlightening conversation with your brother-in-law! Well Mike, you have been stoical all along and now the new life you never thought would arrive is only a day away. I hope you and the boys can settle to a happy life in your new home, enjoy lots of happy times together having fun and hopefully a new beginning for you.  three happy people and lots of laughter! Mike, Bless the 8yr old, when they go they just go! And good on your BinL, sounds like he isn't backing your stbx. I found my nisi an anti climax and have found that we are still technically married, so I still refer to him as stbx, not ex. Until the absolute I always will. Great news for thursday with the house, step in the right direction. Also plan for fun things next time with the kids. Keep busy, Supercali xx |

Supercali Agree with Nisi comment but to get her hands on the Proceeds she needs the consent order to be approved in court. And we're on today. Her sol has been trying to get me to sign so that it can be approved today so X (or STBx ) can get the money on Friday as she has serious over spent. Then the only hook she has left is access to the boys. She has given me enough not to make it worth fighting (at the moment). So yes still some time to absolute but the major hurdles are out the way. Just need to decide how much more to push for more access. Time to lose a battle or two, to be able to regroup next year in a better position. From conversations last night she is losing support of her family and even some of her friends from the school run are acknowegeling my existance so shes not in a position to keep pushing. The consent order means I know where I stand finacilly ( not good but have base line). I can then look after myself and the boys when they come round. Now to do the last run to the old house and get that over with and buy something for tea tomorrow night when the boys come round. |
