Hello. Today I am very sad. As there was only stbx and I in the house this morning I asked him to turn off the TV and sat with him, and talked a little and listened. At first his reaction was  (as usual) ''whatever you want - 'sigh'' - followed by (as usual) tears and talk of how lonely and down he is and threats of suicide. My reaction this time was different though - I had thought about it a lot, and the emotional blackmail is a little wearing. I am sorry if that sounds heartless, but his usual reaction is tears, suicide threats, disappearance to the point that I am in a panic and waiting

Hi fellow travellers.

My name is Cossy and I have been divorced for nearly a year now.  My ex and I are still close friends which can be very confusing at times, but when you have kids if at all possible, it does seem better to work together.

The reason I am writing this is because I need to be able to talk to people who do not know me and therefore won'y judge me.

Well I am finally getting to the start of the end game.  At 10.00 am today the court will pronounce my nisi.

Day of mixed emotions in that:

• I feel it is such a waste after nearly 15 years of marriage.
• I feel I have let people down in that I stood up in court and promised to stay with someone for life.
• I feel odd that she left me and I am divorcing her - sums up our relationhsip I guess in that I have to deal with stuff.
• I feel I have failed my son and am impacted the rest of his life.
• I feel trepidation that there will be a sting in the financial bit and that she will change her mind. I will deal
