Re:Disappearing posts

I know this has been mentioned by others but why do posts on Wiki disappear with no chance of retreiving them with the back key? You can get PMs back but not posts.

I have just spent time on a contribution to the 'karma' debate and it disappeared and now I can't get my head around re-writing it all.

I don't have this problem anywhere else and peeps have told me that they compose stuff as a Word doc and then copy and paste into Wiki as they've had too many disappearing posts.

Can anything be done to prevent this happening?

My typing's very slow - I labour mightily - I dodge out to have a look at other posts or get a ref.- go back - nothing left of the post I'm typing - all gone. AAAAAARGH.
Also - cruising the forum unlogged - find something I want to respond to - log in - back to home page - spend frustrating time trying to find again the post I wanted to respond to.
I've no idea if these things can be tweaked to achieve ultimate perfection - or if there's some simple technique I can employ to avoid it.
Hasn't stopped me posting - but others may be less resilient!!!!!
