Re:Trying to get final signed Consent Document

Hopefully someone can point us in the right direction.

My husband divorced his ex wife and they signed a Consent Document. He sent it in, to his wife's solicitor. He didn't have a solicitor. He also didn't keep a copy of the Document, expecting them to have sent him a fully executed Document at the end, with both their signatures.

Now his ex is doing some backtracking on things they agreed, so we went to her solicitor to request a copy of the fully signed document so he could have a copy. Of course, being that he wasn't their client, they won't give him ANY paperwork.

If he is the person on the document, isn't he entitled to get a copy? How can we get a copy? Do we need to request it from the court or are we just out of luck?

Did the signed order go to court to be stamped?, if it did they keep a copy i think for seven years, some charge for a copy other don`t seem to bother.

So the question is did it go to court?.

I believe it did, since we do have a letter saying they sent everything to the court, and we also received a form back from the court stating they were satisfied with the terms.

You should be able to get a copy from the court then.
