Re:Options Needed

Was in Court for a hearing in January which turned into a FDR - this hearing was then adjourned to the first available date after the 10th March.

I have just found out that the next FDR hearing will not be until end of June! I am due to move in with my new partner shortly at which point she will no longer be able to claim any benefits and I will have to pay all the bills (partner cannot work as she is pregnant). I currently have to pay my ex £1,150 per month after a maintenance pending suit in December - once I move in with my partner I will not be able to cover this amount (struggle to pay it now as it is!). I was expecting the next hearing to be in March/April when hopefully all of this would of been sorted out and this now leaves me with problems

I'm self Repping and I'm not sure what my options are with regards to paying the court order if i need the money to pay for rent/food etc

Its simple, you can't go to prison for not paying the rent, maintenance is your priority!

Rather than default on either it would be best to apply to vary the terms of the MPS to address the issue before it becomes a problem.

What would I need to do to get the order varied? Do they normally hear these reasonably quickly?

The important thing it to make the application as soon as possible. This indicates that you have identified your inability to pay. The hearing should be listed within a few weeks depending upon the court - some are busier than others.
