Can't you take over the rent, electricity and gas bills and pay them directly yourself and deduct that from any other money you give her?
That way you'll know your kids are OK and aren't threatened by eviction or having the utilities cut off.
She is obviously frittering the money you give her away on other things and has no sense of responsibility. (like most chaotic personalities)

I agree with what others have said, you cannot "fix" your wife & her problems & it is so so hard but you have to stop yourself from trying as the only person who will get hurt is you.

If she is agreeable with LW perhaps it would be better for your CM to pay the rent/morg bills then as he said at least you know it will be paid.

It has taken 2 years & councelling & I am still trying to "fix" my X & his problems but I justt cannot do it, eventually it only gets thrown back in your face.

Yes its your children & yes you would do everything / anything for them, but your X has to realise that she is no longer part of the equasion "it is YOUR children" you are ther for - without them we would in affect just be able to walk away.
