1 day can make all the difference

Yesterday was possibly one of the worst days ever.
Well today I feel if I can start again my ex has done the worst she can ever do to me and she will not hurt me anymore.
A conversation with someone who knew some of the back ground of my personal issues with my ex,who has been through similar turmoil in her life.she has managed after much heartache learnt that life can be better and we shouldn't let selfish people ruin a minute of our time.She is now in a good relationship with someone she loves and everything is good for her.
I know I might not be perfect but Im worth infinitly more than my low life morally challenged ex.
In the next few months I'm going sort my head out(pity is the only feelings I should have for her) and do what's best for me and when that happens then be the best Dad to my two children, she may be able to make it difficult,but they will know when there older that I was always there for them and put them before anything else and that's something they will realise that she didn't.
This has been a hard time in my life but I have possibly had a lucky escape.
For anyone going through similar problems don't let them get to you as there just not worth it.

My girls didn't hear fromm their dad or get any presents or anything from him this xmas. I know he is doing this to punish me for divorcing him, should have done so years ago.

Life is hard, I am unemployed and have had to take my ex to court for maintenance he owed as he stopped paying for no reason apart from the fact that he hated me.

But, although I know the girls are hurt by his actions, they are HIS actions, HIS choice and it is HE who has to live with himself.

You concentrate on being the best you can be for YOU and your children.

Saddad, wise words. You do all you can for your two children. I have an ex who is so wrapped up in his new woman he is prepared to not see his own son anymore. Her kid calls him dad after a few months. Our son is 12. And after not seeing our son for 5 weeks and sending him texts and emails telling him he's awful and he doesn't like him and he's prepared to not see him what does he do? Buys him expensive OTT gifts for xmas (this being the man who has no money so can't give any child maintenance)

I totally agree.. Its sad when there are good dads out there being punished by spiteful partners/wifes and all we want is to see our children especially if there is no given cause why we should not. It makes me sad when i read posts of parents who do not give a damn about their children, supporting them or caring for them during and after the breakup. Its these parents who need to take a good look in the mirror and start respecting their children.

My children missed their dad over xmas and no card present etc. But we remembered happy times together, like holidays and when he supported them at sports matches at school etc.

I tell them that Im sure their dad loves them and misses them but is unable to have a relationship with them as well as with his latest girlfriend, whoever that may be.

Youngest 16 and hasn't seen her dad since she was 14. she sent him a letter wishing him a happy christmas and phoned him and left an ansaphone message but nothing back. But she seems happy and has a busy life so just hope the damage to all 3 of them as when they become adults is minimum.
