diy divorce

hopefully someone can help me here.

i separated from my wife 6 years ago. at the time i voluntarily gave my wife 70,000. i used a solicitor who drew up a contract stating that she will not be entitled to any further money. my solicitor insisted that she obtain legal advice which she did to advise her and look through contract.
i never carried on divorce proceedings and have now been in a relationship for five years with my partner and have two children.
what is the proceedure for divorce now?

since separating from my wife i have been luck enough to own my own house and have five buy to let properties. unfortunately due to the current climate i do not have much liquid cash to persue this matter using a solicitor and need some advice on how to proceed by myself.
is there any way because of the time that has elapsed that she will have any further way of making me pay more money.

Are you saying you have a separation agreement? correctly drafted and implemented courts do take notice of them, concrete they are not though, you need to divorce and get a consent order, only a consent order will dismiss any future claims that could be made, until you have one the money and assets you have now are at risk.
