At some point throughout the year we have to give gifts ...........
Not a popular option, but I have to confess I have 'Re-Gifted' - I
have received Gifts given with love, but not to seem ungrateful or to hurt
the givers feelings - they are not 'my thing' so instead of loitering at
the back of the cupboard, I have given them to others as gifts. One thing
if you do this is to remember not to give back to the original giver, or
within the givers group.
Another option is to limit gift costs,
usually good at Christmas - with family and friends say you will limit the
gifts to £X, then you have an affordable budget.
Plan ahead -
easier said than done I know, but if you spread your budget, it doesn't hit
too hard in one go, from one months income.
One 'Don't' is don't
try and keep up with others, just because they got you a bottle of
expensive perfume or posh watch last year, doesn't mean you have to over
budget and splurge and get in debt and end up in a financial mess.
