Nosh, wonga, green, brass, dough, cake, bread, mullah, spondulux. All these
are money terms. And at times we dont like to give it away. So this tip is
about saving the above.
In the dim distant past, I was skint.
They had stopped the overtime and me and my young family had little money.
So guess what we did? We gave up things. The rented colour telly went back
and we rented a black and white one instead and had less food. The kids had
the same. But we cut down. We started rolling smokes instead of buying
ready made. And we got by on a half ounce of GV a month. I had to smoke
with a pin thru the end to stop burning my fingers
But is this right? More to the point is
this smart? No its not even cheeky.
The noughties tought me that
the way to save money (the smart way) is not to cut things out but to cut
down what we spend on them. If I had half a brain back then I would have
gone out and bought a cheap telly. That would have saved me a packet on the
rental fee's. But this wasnt the age of the service. This was the age of
bell bottoms, David Bowie and Blakes 7.
So my suggestion is look
at what U spend out on and do it cheaper. Take internet. My mate is with
AOL. And every now and again he rings up and cancels the contract. He did
this a couple of months ago and he got it for £3 a month. Yes 3 quid a
month.
Look at the services 1st. Gas, leccy, water and see what
U can save. U cant save a lot on water unless U are on a meter. But U can
switch yr gas and leccy to a cheaper supplier. And once U have switched,
ring them up and check what deals they have. My new supplier gives me gas
and leccy for 40 notes a month. I dont have paper bills and what I spend
goes on my tesco card. Result.
Coupons. 2 for one offers.
Competions. And so on. All good ways to make money and save it by getting
things for nothing.
If U win a car in a competions U could do a
wedding package. The wedding car, the dress, the ring(s) and the glasses
with Mr and Mrs on. And throw in the etternety as a special bonus. And in a
year they could have the argos trinket that has aniversary on it and plays
the wedding march. Think W I D E. Think promotions.

So dont cut it out, cut the cost down and
be creative. C.
