Lets be straight here. I pay around £550 a month for my 2 children.
I get one of them every second weekend for 3 days. I currently pay half the
mortgage and debts still left. I have also sucked up lots of joint debt.
FaceSo presuming that the CSA have not
taken into account neither the mortgage or your debts (or you haven't
looked at it) you are retaining equity in the property and have a financial
interest in it to be released at a later date? And the debts that you're
still paying for the family have been and are being used for your benefit?
Whilst yes I totally agree (and I'm paying out 33% of my income
to the other house in maintenance and one of our three children lives with
me full time) 20% does seem alot but have you actually sat down and worked
out what the total for each child is based on:
Gas,
Electric, Council Tax, Insurance, Water, Mortgage, Rent, TV, Food, Travel,
Clothing, Trips, Telephone, Insurance, Health Care, Holidays etc?
Look at the
Total costs for the house then divide
it by the number of residents and then divide each childs contribution in
two. 50% of that is for you and 50% is for your ex to fund from her income
and
benefits.
So in
your case if there are three people living there and the total cost each
month is £2000 each child is £666.67 and your share for two children is
£666.67 and your ex £666.67.
