Mediums and Tarot Cards

Years ago when I was going through an unsettled period in my life I visited a number of Mediums and Tarot card readers and wasn't convinced any of them really had any special powers.Now that I'm going through a bad patch again I'm tempted to have another go.I realise this is how most of them get their customers because generally happy,settled people don't go them.I am curious if anyone on here has had readings etc that they have considered to be genuine and helpful?
I'd be interested hearing about any experiences good or bad.Also have any of you had psychic experiences yourselves?
It makes a change to thinking about Divorce for awhile

I went to a very old tarot card reader who said my ex husband was talking to other women via the computer. As we didn't have a computer at that time I didn't believe her.

However, I was informed by a reliable source later on that my husband was using a work computer to go on dating sites.

Im not sure how much faith I put in it tbh, but as a meditation tool to think about what is happening in your life it is quite useful.

However rather than parting with any money why not try some of the free ones on the Internet. I've used this one a couple of times since the split and I find it quite useful as a thinking point.

I went to my first reading with a medium last September. The medium was strongly recommended by a friend.

Being quite cynical as I had never ever contemplated anything like this before in my life, I was instantly drawn to the warmth and the knowledge of 'my life' by the medium.

The medium told me things that only I would have known and nobody else. I was really gobsmacked! The medium knew so much, bearing in mind that we had never ever met before.

I took notes and re-read them time and time again, what they do not do is give you answers but they can certainly steer you in the right direction. One of my grandmother's and my own mother came through and gave me advice.

I am not sure if it is everyone's cup of tea, but it certainly made me stop and think. I have booked a second appointment to go again next week.

For me, having no parent's or support during this time, it has taught me not to dismiss something until I have tried it and as they say each to their own. Do some research about who you will go to and see what happens. I am not expecting miracles next week, but it will be interesting to see if it was just coincidence or is there something really out there trying their hardest to guide us through our tough times.

I have seen several over the last 12 years or so. Like you say, I didn't bother for a while when I was feeling settled, but after my stbx left in July I felt the urge.

I saw a lady recommended by a friend for a brief 10 minutes in August at a charity event. She immediately got that I was going through a separation, I picked a fox and a snake and she said she could see my ex was trying to come back and I mustn't trust him he was a liar (I totally knew this but in a way it was nice to have it re-inforced, I drew strength from it). She also got my grandads had both recently passed and knew one had passed from lung cancer.

I had her round to my house in November and a few of us had a full reading. She didn't remember me, but again got that I was going through divorce, she said it was definitely the right thing and he'll always be there for the kids but he wasn't a good husband. She got lots and lots of things right about my life now, and said she could only see a very positive future, and I will definitely get married again. I know to take it with a pinch of salt but it gave me a lift at the time. She told me I was a little psychic and I should trust the very vivid dreams I had recently been having, they were my instincts guiding me - just that week I had said to my sister and sister in law about all these strange dreams that were to do with my ex and my kids - definitely a message there i think.

I am seeing another guy next Friday as a birthday treat. My sister saw him last year and said he was brilliant. He doesn't read cards, just you! I am looking forward to it and comparing it with the last one.

But ultimately I know I can't live my life by any of the stuff I'm told and I don't - but I do find it very interesting.

Thanks for the replies.I do find it a fascinating subject.Interestingly I have been told by a few of the people that I saw that I should be capable of "seeing" things.I am supposed to have blue lights that they can see above my head.I'm not aware of having special powers and have only once had an experience of knowing something that it should have been impossible for me to know.I told someone who was job hunting about a job just right for her as I'd seen it advertised.She approached the firm about the job and was told that the position she was interested in would be coming available.She was asked how she could possibly know about it because it had never been advertised.I went looking for the paper I thought I'd seen it in but the advert definitely wasn't there.I still can't explain that because it seemed so real.

You could always look out for services being held at your local spiritualist church. Some of the mediums there are very good and its usually free
