advice re petition

sorry to trouble you and maybe you can help me i am expecting the divorce petition any day now probably citing unreasonable behaviour as no other grounds exsist i have seen a draft copy includes "being annoyed by an argument that happened in 2003? trivial and time barred one would hope? i was looking for advice re the best way to reply to a divorce petition saying that i do not seek to defend the divorce but disagree completely withn the UR behaviour especially as we have three kids and do not want that used at a later date

any tips would be great and if you cannot help sorry to have troubled you

It really doesn't matter what the grounds are - in reality if you accept the marriage has broken down and the other party has not claimed costs, be positive he has saved you a Court fee of £300

If the allegations are lies what you can do rather than defend (waste of time & money for lawyers) is on the Acknowledgement of Service put to the Q'n "Do you accept the marriage has broken down..."Yes but the allegations of behaviour are exaggerated and/or untrue. Accordingly whilst I accept the marriage has broken down I reserve my position to respond to any of the allegations if later relevant"
