We are looking for Wikipeeps to help with an important documentary film
about parenting being made for BBC2.
The documentary,
presented by Sophie Raworth, will feature the latest research into
parenting and its impact on children and teenagers. The film-makers want to
talk to parents, their children and to young people who might already have
left the family home about:-
Rows: Do/did you and your partner
argue a lot? Are you worried about the impact on your children? Were you a
child of divorce affected by your parents' rows?
Teenagers: Do
you and your partner/stbx work long hours? Do you feel you hardly ever see
your teenager? Is he/she distant, difficult and often getting into
trouble?
Early puberty: Did your daughter go through puberty
unusually early (before the age of 11)? We're looking for girls in their
teens or early 20s who went through early puberty and suffered as a result.
We'd like to talk to girls and their families about their experiences and
the problems that going through puberty early may have caused them.
Babies: are you finding it a struggle to care for and love your
baby or toddler?
Young children: Do you work full time? Do
you have a child at day-care or nursery and are you concerned about their
behaviour? Did your child go to a nursery and find the move to
school difficult?
Changing
childcare: Have you tried different types of childcare for your children
and did some work better than others?
Parenting courses: Have
you been on a parenting course? How did it help you improve your
relationship with your child?
If you have something to say
about your experience of parenting before, during or after divorce, the
research team would very much like to talk to you in confidence. At this
stage you are under no obligation to appear on screen or for your story to
go on the record.
If you would like to help by sharing your
story, please send a PM with your
contact details to
