We have been contacted by a reputable independent production company making
a Cutting Edge documentary for Channel 4 provisionally called Separated but
Living Together.
This is an important issue and Wikivorce has
offered support to the team making this film in the hope that it will help
to inform people about their options and introduce them to our site and
what it has to offer.
As the title suggests, the planned film
is about couples who are having to live in the same house when they are
separating, divorcing or have already split up. The idea is hopefully to
follow the experiences of couples using sites like wikivorce and a range of
other services - local Divorce Support groups, Family Consultants, Divorce
Coaches, Collaborative Law,
mediation and so on – to help them through the
process.At present the team are in the research stages and need help from
wikipeeps to sort out the important issues they should be covering in the
film.
They really need to talk to people – in confidence –
about the ways in which people manage this situation, particularly when one
person may be further onemotionally than the other as well as other issues
that arise when you do not live apart while divorcing – for whatever
reason.
